As per usual the FREE shipment came in earlier than expected. This duffel bag is a beauty: sporty, classic. Very recognizable on the belt. But the best thing about it is the way it was designed. The best things: it folds open, and the top part zips close with a see-thru mesh. Right now it holds all my ski stuff: thermo underwear, ski pants, jacket, socks, hat, gloves, and still has more space. De bottom holds (neatly kept in place by a ajustable crossing strap with a separate bag in the middle) a whole week - or more - of clothing 'off piste' - jeans, thick woolen sweater, etc, etc - and still not full. Then there are a few very practical side pockets. The wheels are just a little bigger than the usual, which makes the bag roll easier over uneven surfaces. Main zipper is sturdy and will last a long time. Even if it would have been full price, the bag would have been worth it.
This is a very durable and easy to use piece of luggage. There are handles everywhere - great for snatching off the luggage carosel. Lots of room and the wheels are durable and roll easily. I would recommend this to anyone!
A rare merchandise review for moi!I purchased on for $93.75 (free 2-day shipping with Prime).Adressing some of the criticism:1.) Capacity: I found the bag to offer plenty of capacity (as much if not more than an extra large hard suitcase) with the added flexibility of the soft top. I am a big guy, used this one bag for a 2-week international trip and tend to over pack!2.) The handle length: I am 6'3 and as a result of the length of the bag (AKA height when rolling) found the handle extension to be fineFinally, I wrapped up some fragile items on the return and they came through without issue.At the right price an excellent alternative to a traditional hard case.
Used on two week trip to Africa. Perfect bag. Took a beating and could hold everything and some. Worth every penny.
I think this is going to be my perfect bag! I travel worldwide often and have purchased bags and purchased bags. One thing with drop bottom I require if locking straps so in case the zipper goes you still have the bag closed. Handles on side. This bag has two great handles on top and on the end. Great zipper compartment on top. I like that, an end zipper shoe compartment. A flat end compartment for my DDT packets. I'm not sure what the extra little packet bag in the drop bottom will be used for but what a clever idea. The straps that hold your clothes has this little mesh bag built in. Great wheels and zippers. I have added a scan of the Sampsonite tag picture that came with this great bag!
